Four Week Check-In
So four weeks have now passed and wow what a few weeks it has been. To think we can now sit down and go over applications to start selecting families for meet and greets is exciting but also a little sad I must say. As a family, we do get so attached to our Groodle fur babies that the thought of them leaving is hard. But we want others to be able to have these beauties in their lives to light them up just like they do for us. The most loyal, loving dogs you could ever have.
They are doing incredibly well all around and had a vet check this week to make sure all was perfect before we start allocating them to families. Worming started a little later with this litter due to the cough that Mum had early on. Pups were on antibiotics to make sure they all came through it ok so we have been concentrating on making sure their tummies were good with probiotics before introducing them to worming. Which as anyone who has had puppies before would know, can cause an upset tummy. But it worked a treat as we had no puppies with the runs! So will continue the probiotics until they are ready for their new homes as it is amazing for them and will do this for future litters as well.
The pups are just starting to show their personalities. The ones that are a little more outgoing of course always capture your eye first. These are also usually the ones who are usually the best for families and children with their outgoing nature. More docile puppies aren’t always the best for families with young children as they aren’t always as robust when it comes to children. In saying that, anyone with a puppy from the last litter would know that all are all-round, beautiful-natured puppies.
Again, for this litter, we expect that the boys will range anywhere from 35-45kg as full-grown dogs and the girls to range from 25-35kg. Although Freya is proving to be a little gem so potentially may be smaller than that expected range.

Have you applied for one of our Puppies? Or would like to Apply?
Although we think that we have more than enough families for the current litter which will be confirmed in the coming week,, feel free to apply in case something happens and one becomes available. Circumstances can change.
The few weeks will get us past the riskiest time for puppies especially since Mumma has been unwell. As we are small ethical family breeders, we do not take deposits on puppies until we are certain that we have one perfect for you and your family because we can never be certain when our next litter will be.
As puppies will be due to go to their homes just before Christmas we will be ensuring that all families are well suited and not just a ‘gift’. We also make sure that new owners are aware of the expected size of them as fully grown dogs and ensure that they are prepared to adequately train them. Remember these are standard Groodles, not mini so training is extremely important. See past litter details here to get an idea of the expected size as parents are the same.
Like our first litter, we encourage anyone who ‘needs’ non-shedding, hypoallergenic dogs to think about a fully hypoallergenic dog (like a poodle) as there is no way we can 100% guarantee what coats will be when fully grown as they change so much in the first 12 months and this is when they will get their full adult coat.
Viewings will take place from four weeks of age at this stage once they are past the riskiest weeks. In order of those who contacted us earliest which we are currently working out.
We aren’t expecting to have any F1 litters in the near future however we will be looking at breeding Franki & Ivy for an F1b Litter for those wanting more hypo-allergenic dogs and also an F2 litter if we can find a suitable male.
