Two Week Check-In

It’s hard to believe that two weeks have already gone by! What a huge week it has been. All puppies now have their eyes open and have started walking. Although wobbling around, they are getting so strong and now their eyes are open, they are starting to explore their surroundings. All love their snuggles with both Mum & us Human parents alike and we love spoiling them with cuddles and lots of touching.

For the first time, we have introduced some Early Neurological Stimulation with them which involved little activities with each of them daily. After researching this we decided to introduce it as the idea is to help their development by exposing them to different surfaces, sounds & sights. Reports have shown that ENS helps create healthier, more resilient puppies with better physical, emotional and intellectual performance, stronger immune systems, higher cardio-vascular performance and better problem-solving ability. And although we did most of this with the previous litter it is just a little more formal this time for each puppy.

Personalities are starting to come through as well and we are so excited to see them more this week so we can start to share a little about each of them. So far there isn’t a lot to share. Falkor seems as though he is a little character and seems to be the one sleeping in the strangest positions. He was even licking his paw this morning which was a little cute. He drags himself opposed to walking even though he can walk. He loves his food and is the first to pass out milk drunk.

Freya is always wagging her tail when she has a full belly and Gypsy is always near her. Gypsy loves to sleep on her back but hates it when the others lay on her. Thor is so quick walking within just a few days we are thinking we will need to playpen out sooner than usual! Him and Theodore have started interacting which is super cute!

Have you applied for one of our Puppies? Or would like to Apply?

Although we think that we have more than enough families for the current litter which will be confirmed in the coming weeks, feel free to apply in case something happens and one becomes available. Circumstances can change.

The few weeks will get us past the riskiest time for puppies especially since Mumma has been unwell. As we are small ethical family breeders, we do not take deposits on puppies until we are certain that we have one perfect for you and your family because we can never be certain when our next litter will be.

As puppies will be due to go to their homes just before Christmas we will be ensuring that all families are well suited and not just a ‘gift’. We also make sure that new owners are aware of the expected size of them as fully grown dogs and ensure that they are prepared to adequately train them. Remember these are standard Groodles, not mini so training is extremely important. See past litter details here to get an idea of the expected size as parents are the same.

Like our first litter, we encourage anyone who ‘needs’ non-shedding, hypoallergenic dogs to think about a fully hypoallergenic dog (like a poodle) as there is no way we can 100% guarantee what coats will be when fully grown as they change so much in the first 12 months and this is when they will get their full adult coat.

Viewings will take place from four weeks of age at this stage once they are past the riskiest weeks. In order of those who contacted us earliest which we are currently working out.

We aren’t expecting to have any F1 litters in the near future however we will be looking at breeding Franki & Ivy for an F1b Litter for those wanting more hypo-allergenic dogs and also an F2 litter if we can find a suitable male.

Apply for a puppy here.
